Family Sponsors

The amount allocated by the La Canada Unified School District to the Choral Music Department provides only enough for the Director’s salary and the accompanist’s school-day salary. It costs more than $250 per student in additional funding to support a program as strong as the one we have at La Canada High School.

The Choral Parents Association uses member donations, family and business sponsorships, grants, and fundraising activities to pay for essentials such as sheet music, the accompanist’s concert compensation, transportation, festival fees, instrumental musicians, piano tuning, classroom equipment and supplies, scholarships, clinicians, auditorium rental, custodial services, awards and programs. 

Family sponsorships are vital to the program. The CPA encourages each family to donate at least $100.

*Sponsorship Concert Tickets apply to the Fall, Holiday, Spring and Spring Pops concerts. The Fall Pops concert is not eligible for Sponsor tickets. Tickets may be used for adults or students. 

There are four Family Sponsorship Levels. For each level, the family receives one voting membership in the CPA and is recognized in the concert programs. Some sponsorship levels come with concert tickets and recordings. If you have any questions, please contact the CPA Membership Chair.
