Family Sponsors

The amount allocated by the La Canada Unified School District to the Choral Music Department provides only enough for Dr. Brookey, Ms. Sveditch, and the accompanist’s school-day salary. It costs much more in additional funding to support and grow a program as strong as the one we have at La Canada High School.

The Choral Parents Association uses member donations, family and business sponsorships, grants, and fundraising activities to pay for essentials such as sheet music, the accompanist’s concert compensation, individual vocal coaching, transportation, festival fees, instrumental musicians, piano tuning, classroom instruments, equipment and supplies, scholarships, clinicians, auditorium rental, custodial services, awards and programs. 

Family sponsorships are vital to the program. We encourage all families to consider becoming a sponsor at some level. We describe the different levels and incentives below.
